MMSA Committee Positions Still Open Notice

Hi everyone! First of all, we would like to thank our lovely MMSA community for attending our events and it was a great pleasure to get to know each other more throughout the year and we wish that there could have been more opportunities to engage with you all. 2023 has been a challenging year for our committee members. We had a lot of amazing ideas for events but we had a few tissues. 1. We were not affiliated with MONSU from the start of this year as we only had one Caulfield member in the committee despite multiple attempts to recruit more Caulfield members(minimum was 2), which means that we were not able lot access any funding from MONSU. 2. Therefore, we applied for affiliation under MSA last semester and unfortunately our application was not successful due to large amount of applications. 3. In terms of fundings for this year, we used MSA sponsorship and our committee members’ self-funding to ensure our events were free and accessible to everyone. However, we believe that these options are not sustainable long term and reapplication to MSA or MONSU would be required. As some of you may be aware, we had AGM last week. However, the majority of the positions are left unfilled and still available. Please let us know if you are interested in becoming part of the committee. Despite these challenges, our committee was still able to come together to organise 3 events this year which we are extremely proud of given the circumstances and difficulties with funding. In the meantime, before the next year committee is formed, we will still be around to answer your questions/queries sent to our Fb/insta, although our term for this academic year is officially over.
