Do you want to have a say in how the university manages student data? Our goal is to enable students to take a more active role in governing their data; by ensuring they have a voice in how their data is collected, accessed, and used at the university. It’s time for UoM students to collectively discuss how they want their data to be governed. All UoM students and GRs (over the age of 18) are invited to participate in a survey and an online conversation, to share their perspectives and engage in a crowdsourced conversation! We will run the conversation using Polis - an innovative online platform that allows for large groups of people to discuss issues in a democratic manner. We hope that your participation will ultimately guide advancements towards a more inclusive governance process of our student data. So... if you are a UoM student or GR over the age of 18 - then you are qualified to participate! First, you will take part in a short survey (of less than 20 minutes), and then you will take part in a real-time online conversation on student data governance.
